Thursday, July 16, 2015 The goal of the Social Determinants of Health Research Network (SDH RN) is to enhance the capacity of researchers, funders, and policy-makers to work to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. The project seeks to build capacity to understand and influence the conditions that affect the health of the most vulnerable, including the poorest and most isolated people in society, and to ensure that these communities are central to the research, design and implementation of public health, community development and service interventions. AOA Foundations are proud to be one of the funders of the Social Determinants of Health Research Network (SDH RN). What is the SDH RN? The SDH RN is an international, multi-disciplinary, non-partisan, inclusive network of interdisciplinary researchers, practitioners and policy makers dedicated to improving the conditions that determine the health and well-being of vulnerable people. It builds on the SDH Research Network, a programme of research commissioned by the Global Forum for Health Research in 2014.
